Happy Graduation!!!!

This year I had the honor of making Graduation announcements for 3 local graduates!! It was my first year doing them and I absolutely loved it!!

My first Grad was a friend of my sweethearts, Caleb. He went to my old High School, the home of the mighty BULLDOGS!
He left all creative control in my hands, so here is what I came up with.
The card is A2 size.
The "Class of" is cut from Wild Card at a Real Dial size of 1 1/2".
The year is embossed in white Zing powder, with an alphabet set from Hobby Lobby.
The background layer is embossed in the Seeing Spots Cuttlebug folder.
The Diploma is from the Happy Graduation Cartridge cut at 4"
On the left of the inside I mounted his senior pics with some clear photo corners. Below that are his name cards I had printed up. At the same print shop I had the piece to the right printed up with all his info and the school logo in the background.

My second graduate of the season was a friend of a friend named Jessenia. She graduated from County High School and their mascot is the Hornet!

When she came for a consultation I showed her some samples and this is what we came up with.
A2 size of course. The background paper was a pearl gold embossed with D'vine Swirl.
The year is embossed with green metallic Zing powder and the same stamp set as the first card.
The hat is from Lockertalk and is cut at 3"
The satin ribbon is 3/8" from Joanns.
When I started this project there wasnt a hornet on any of the cartridges I owned, but then Provocraft released Everyday Pop-Up Cards! Here was the perfect mascot so I stuck him on the inside top flap. It says bee, but he looks like a hornet to me.
For the wording I used a little saying that was in my announcements. She didn't want name cards so I incorporated her name is the words.
She also ordered some party invites to insert in them!

My third graduate who was referred to me kinda late and was hoping for anything since it was too late in the season. I was happy to take on the challenge!

For Kaycie's she also gave me creative control and trusted me completely. Which is a great feeling!
For hers I used the same design as Jessenia's only Kaycie's is embossed with the Victoria Cuttlebug folder.

Since I didn't have time to emboss all the numbers indiviually for the year, I used my Gypsy to weld together numbers from the Baby Steps Cartridge. This hat is also from Lockertalk cut at 3"

I used the same wording inside that I used on Jessenias also. I used a different font so it matched the outside a little better.
Here they are in their packaging! All my Graduates ordered fifty announcements each! I used photo boxes to deliver them in with their name in the front. I also used labels I had made for my Grotto on the lid. I provided the envelopes and sealed them with a business card.
Hope you like 'em!
CONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2011!!!!!

Happy Birthday Mama!!

Yay!! Today is my Mama's Birthday!! She is 49 years young! She was worried about being so close to fifty, but she is beautiful at any age. We had a lovely Barbeque at home and now movie night!!!

My Mama was looking through my latest issue of Cricut magazine and absolutely fell in love with this cute little bee who was used on a couple of the projects inside, so I decided to use him for her card this year.
I cut him from Create-a-Critter at 3 1/2".
I used my Gypsy to hide contour on his eyes so I could glue on my googly eyes!
The card is 5x5 with two layers.

The ribbon is 1/4" satin ribbon from Walmart.

Stickles made his little wings shine and Stickey-doos made them pop!

The sentiment is from the Greetings stamp set!

The background paper is from the DCWV Nana's Kids. I just love Argyles

This is a cute b-day coupon I made her! The icon is from the Slumber Party Cartridge cut at 4" The face is from Peachy Keen Everyday Character Face assortment

Here it is on the inside top flap of her card. I used a Martha Stewart punch to make matching photo corners to hold it in place. On the back it says,"Good for one pedicure!"

Hope you like it!
Happy Birthday Mama!!

My Nephew's Last Day of Preschool!

My sweet little nephew Cruz just had his last day of Pre-School! His mama asked for some Thank-you's for his teachers. I never met them, but from all of the things my darling has told me I know they taught him well!!

I immediately thought of this cute little worm from Create-a-Critter. I cut him out at 4" and gave him big googly eyes!
The apple print background is from the All Seasons Paper pack.

The 1/4" ribbon is from Joanns. The red is satin, and the blue is grosgrain.

The sentiment is from the Greetings stamp set.
I also used a Alphabet stamp set to stamp the Teacher's names on the envelope.
Hope you like 'em!
Congrats Cruzito!!

Happy Birthday Soulmate!!!

Well today is my Soulmate's birthday! She absolutely loves the Pirates of the Carribean movies and this year the newest one came to theaters on her birthday!! My Mama and I planned to take her to dinner and to see the movie premiere at midnight!!! Here is the card and gift bag I made for her to open at dinner!

The card is cut from Life's a Party Cartridge at 3 1/2" I used a gold paint marker for the embellishments on the Treasure Chest card.
For the Pirate ship I cut two of them out from Paper Doll Dress Up at 4 1/2". One in black and one in Brown so I could cut out my own layers to glue on. The Skull and Crossbones are also from the cartridge on the same button.
I also cut a Card out at 3" so that way I could cut my own layer on the inside because it was black.

For the words inside I found a cute website that had piratey sayings and I saw this little saying that was just perfect. One of her gifts was a Pirate medallion I bought when I was in high school when the first Pirates movie came out so this saying fit very well!
Hope you like it!
Happy Birthday Jeri!!!

Congratulations Card for a Friend!

A good friend of mine recently became a Cheerleading Coach at one of our local high schools! I decided to make her a card to say congrats! The schools mascot is the mighty eagles so I was thrilled to see this eagle on the Car Decals Cartridge.

The eagle is cut at 3.5". I left out a layer to keep my eagle gold because that is their main color.
I used the Seeing Spots Cuttlebug folder to emboss the white layer on my card
Inside I used the Cheerleading stamp set to make it look more Cheerleading related.
Hope you like it!
Congratulations!

Happy Mother's Day!!!

I thought I'd take a break from the National Scrapbook Day madness and make a post for Mother's Day!

My mother has to be the most important part of my Grotto! She is always there with me, giving me her perspective and keeping me company. It's so hard to make things for her because she's always by my side cheering me on, like she has my whole life. I owe everything to her from my life, to my happiness and also my strength. I love you very much Mama and I hope you have a wonderful day!

My Mama's favorite color is blue, but I was feeling very pink and floral when making my cards so luckily I found a patterned paper in my stash that was both!
The sentiment is from Wrap It Up and I used a border punch and Stickles to jazz is up!
One thing my Mama doesn't like is to be called Mother, so for her banner I put only MOM!
The banner pieces are from Straight From The Nest cut at 5 1/2"
I embossed the pink layer with the D'vine Swirl Cuttlebug folder.
The letters are from Country Life cut out at 1 1/2"
I used light pink and blue 5/8" satin ribbon for the strings and little knots .
I love you Mama!

I also made a card for my sweetheart's mom.
She loves dragonflies so here's what I came up with for her...
The cute little dragonfly is cut at 3" from Doodlecharms.
Cuttlebug D'vine Swirl and Stickle really make him pop!
I used Pink 1/4" ribbon to make my sentiment stand out.
I don't remember where I got the stamp I used from but it's pretty!
Hope you like 'em!
Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful Mothers out there!

My Pink Stamper National Scrapbook Day Challenge #9

Okay here we go! Challenge #9 was Use Glitz, Glam and Glitter in your project! I naturally thought of a cute card I could make. Here it is!

The paper is from Hobby Lobby and the sentiment is from The Girls Night Out stamp set.
My soulmate came by to see how the Challenges were going and she brought me her Gypsy to use!! I've missed using one! I cut this cute little dress from Gypsy Wanderings cut at 3 3/4"
Of course for this challenge I used some itty bitty green rhinestones and Stickles!
Hope you like it!
I'll hopefully get to finish these challenges tonight, if not then definately tomorrow!

My Pink Stamper National Scrapbook Day Challenge #8

Challenge #8! Holy moly I'm getting exhausted but there is still more to come. Challenge #8 consisted of making a project summer themed. Since my favorite part of summer is Independence Day I decided to make a card for it!
Here it is!

My hat is cut from the Independence Day cartridge and embellished with Stickles.
My background is embossed with the Stars Cuttlebug folder.

The brads and ribbon are from Hobby Lobby
My sentiment is from the Celebrate Spring set by Recollections
Hope you like it!
On deck is Challenge #9!

My Pink Stamper National Scrapbook Day Challenge #7

Here is Challenge #7! All that was asked was that we make a scrapbook page!
I had been wanting to scrap these photos since March when my Mom, my Soulmate and I got together for a movie night! We all wore our favorite jammies and had the best slumber party ever!

My layout is 12x12.
The background paper is from the Birthday Extravaganza stack.
My title is from the Cricut Lite Slumber Party cartridge cut at 4"
My little floral stamps are stamped in brown ink.
Hope you like it!
Challenge #8 is coming up!

My Pink Stamper National Scrapbook Day Challenge #6

Well I was caught up lol! This card took awhile, but I had a specific idea and had to see it through. This challenge was to incorporate a tag into your project whether it be a card, layout, or 3D object. I chose card!

My background paper is from the Sweet Stack Mat stack.
My little jar is cut from the From my Kitchen Cartridge at 3" but I used hide contour so it only cut the jar on the left. I also hid the cherries on the label, and made the label alot bigger than the one proportionate to my jar.
My strawberry on my cute little jar is from Hello Kitty Greetings cut at 1 1/2"
Last but not least my TAG is from Cricut Classic Font cut at 1 1/4"
My sentiment is from MPS Fruit and Veggie Puns.
Ribbon is from Hobby Lobby Ribbon Boutique.
Hope you like it!
Lucky #7 is next!

My Pink Stamper National Scrapbook Day Challenge #5

Challenge number five was to make something 3D. I had already made a goodie bag so I decided to make some monogrammed notepads!
I figured it'd be cute and not take long so that way I will finally be caught up!

I got a few of these cute little notepads at the PCC Print Shop and they were only 5 for a Dollar! I got a bunch just to have as scratch pads, then today when I saw the 3D challenge I thought these would be perfect.
I used Pink Cricut Vinyl and Hello Kitty Font for the cute little monogram.
The flower is cut at 3"
I thought this would make a cute gift or favor for any occasion.
 Hope you like it!
Caught up to Challenge #6!

My Pink Stamper National Scrapbook Day Challenge #4

Challenge #4 is to make something for Mother's Day! Since I've already made my Mom's card I thought I'd make one for my Friend who is a new young mom. I already had My Pink Stamper Stamps and Block Party out so I mixed them together and here's what came out! It's not as traditional but I'm sure my friend will love it!

My watermelon is from Block Party cut at 3 1/2"
The background paper is Girl Dots from Hobby Lobby.
Ribbon is 1/4" from Wal-mart.
My sentiment is from MPS Stamp Set Fruit and Veggie Puns. This set is a must have for anyone with a Cricut!
Hope you like it!
Coming up is Challenge #5

My Pink Stamper National Scrapbook Day Challenge #3!!!

Yay! I'm keeping up! For the third challenge of the say we had to make something Breast Cancer themed. I decided to make something 3D since my last two were cards. This has truly been a day of challenges for me since I'm stuck working without my beloved Gypsy :( Luckily the amazing people at the Provo Craft Warranty center have a new one on it's way to me! I can't wait. Thankfully I've seen all of Robyn's videos so I can navigate very well around my Expressions. You can see all her videos at

I used one of the goodie bags from the Cricut Lite Slumber Party Cartridge cut at Fit to Page so it'd be as big as I could cut on a 12x12 sheet of pink cardstock.
It gave me a 3x3 box so I cut a 2 3/4" piece of light pink and used the D'vine Swirl Cuttlebug folder to emboss it.
The ribbon is 1/4" bright pink from Joanns
The heart brad is from Hobby Lobby
My sentiment is stamped in bright pink.
I tossed some leftover Easter grass inside to complete it 'til it's filled
I've never known anyone with Breast Cancer, and I pray I never have to. My heart goes out to all the women we've lost to it, and to all the strong survivors of it.
Hope you like it!
Next is Challenge #4!

My Pink Stamper National Scrapbook Day Challenge #2!!!

I'm catching up! For the second Challenge we were asked to make a project using Kraft cardstock. Immediately I thought of a more masculine card. Normally I don't use Kraft cardstock on my project, but I thought this was an awesome challenge just to see what comes out of it!

I used the Kraft cardstock as my card base.
My cute hamburger is from the Cricut Lite Block Party cartridge cut at 3 1/2"
I couldn't help myself and i had to put Stickles on the lettuce! I think it look adorable.
My background paper is from the Nana's Kids stack.
I stamped my sentiment on a 1/2" border of Kraft cardstock and the stamp is from MPS Stamp Set Family & Friends.
Sticky-doos and my ATG gun help keep it all together!

My card can be used if you're invited to a BBQ and you make a dish, or as invitations to one!
Hope you like it!
Here I come Challenge #3!

My Pink Stamper National Scrapbook Day Challenge #1!!

This is my second year participating in The Pink Stamper's National Scrapbook Challenges, and let me say they are a BLAST!! It's so much fun to try to get them all done in an hour. This year I started late, but I'll catch up!
For the first Challenge we need to make anything using a cupcake! I figured a birthday card would be best.

I used a cupcake from Straight From The Nest cut at 4" with glittered and patterned paper for the frosting and wrapper.
The background paper is from The Sweet Stack Mat Stack from DCWV.
My ribbon is 1/4 green form Wal-Mart and I used Sticky-Doos to add dimension.
The sentiment is from MPS Stamp Set Family & Friends.
Stamped in Vivid purple.
Hope you like it!
On to Challenge #2!

Mother's Day Make and Take 2011!

Today we got our girls together for their Mother's Day Make and Take! This time we worked backwards. We had our photo shoot first then we headed inside for pizza and our craft!

Here are me and all my little darlings!
Their aprons were made by Jeri, and the hairties I put together last night.
The bouquet we threw together last minute for the girls to hold in their indiviual picture.
Here they are getting started on their project.
They all are about to decorate 2 photo frames with all sorts of cut-outs and embellishments we provided.

They had flowers and hearts cut from Hello Kitty Font Cartridge at different sizes, and they also had the word Mama cut from the Groovy Times Cartridge at 2'
They also had Pom-Poms, brads, and buttons to use for their flower centers.
Here is my little dolly holding up her beautiful frame oh so proudly!
Below are all of their frames for Mommy ready to be filled with the beautiful photos we took as they arrived!
At the top of the picture you can see their goodie popcorn boxes filled with a monogrammed notepad, a pencil, and a jar of bubbles.
We had so much fun designing these just for mom!

Here are two of my little beauties who finished their frame first!
I hope their mamas like them!
Happy Mother's Day!

Hope you like it!
